We’re going to begin a brand new series on the gospel.  And what I’m wanting for us to explore in this series is just how big and broad and deep and wide the gospel is.  You see, what I really want for us to begin to see is that the gospel isn’t just a set of doctrinal beliefs that we hold to be true about Jesus.  We often reduce it to that.  But it’s more then that.  The gospel, when it invades your life and gets rooted in your heart, is the very power of God at work within you.  And as it takes root it begins to affect the way you make every decision and shape the way you approach your entire life.  So that’s what this series is going to be about.  It’s going to focus on the different ways in which the gospel touches every area of our lives.  So by God’s grace, what we’re going to see in the coming weeks is how the gospel shapes the way we approach our singleness and our spouses, our kids and our careers, our finances and our future.  All of it—every aspect of our lives should flow from our understanding of the gospel.I want you to walk away feeling as if, not only that you know the gospel of Jesus Christ intellectually but that it dwells in you so richly that you begin to apply it to every arena of your life.
